THE PRESIDENT .... 'at a glance'
Deanzer Roberts is from the island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
She attended the St. Joseph’s Convent in Kingstown and The Union Island Secondary School in that country. Less than a year after leaving school she was doing what she dreamt of — “Journalism” and has been in that field for twenty-seven years.
Three years ago, she delved further spreading her wings into the Public Relations field and now offers public relations consultancy to organizations.
The mother of three is a calculated risk-taker with a deep love for writing and developing new business ideas, is a hard worker, one with a passion for excellence always aiming for the top.
She balances her day with other things, which include her family and social life. Her love for life and for people she admits comes naturally. “How can I love God who I have not seen and not love those around me.”
Her love for children and for the community, helping and volunteering of her skills and knowledge are among attributes that contributed to her joining the Kiwanis Club of Barbados South six years ago.
Since joining South Club, she has served as director, assistant secretary/treasurer, vice president, president-elect and now she assumes the office of president.
Throughout her years in the club, she has been head of the Public Relations and Marketing Committee and this year, even as she leads the club, she will still be taking up that role.
She has for years built a reputation for developing strategies, projects and programmes and continues to embrace the values of integrity, innovation, and growth. A go-getter in every sense, Deanzer embarks on programmes that many believe are impossible, but she pushes and gets them done.
Her Motto:
We are capable of more than we know, if only we choose a goal that seems right for us and strive to be the best, however hard the path. Aim high. Behave honourably. Prepare to be alone at times, and to endure failure. Persist! The world needs all we can give!
