Kiwanis International Goodwill Cruise - Ryndam 20th February 1999

On 15th February 1999 over 200 Kiwanians set sail from Fort Lauderdale Florida on a 10 day Caribbean cruise aboard the "Ryndam". The cruise under the theme "Promoting World Unity Through Goodwill Tours" was hosted by Gerry and Anita Christiano. The Kiwanians including Immediate Past International President Walter Sellers and wife Irene arrived in Barbados on 20th February. They were met at the Bridgetown Port by a large entourage of Government officials and local Kiwanians. A reception was held in the cruise terminal under the patronage of the Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Honourable George Payne. Minister Payne in his offical capacity and as a Distinguised Lieutenant Governor extended a warm welcome to all the visiting Kiwanians.

Arrangements for the reception were put in place by our club President, for which he received a thank you letter from Past International President Gerry Christiano.
